In a groundbreaking move, Rooftop Reds launched the world’s first commercially-viable urban rooftop vineyard in Brooklyn during the spring of 2016. The winery’s mission transcends the boundaries of traditional viticulture, aiming to spearhead innovation in the New York State wine market and cultivate a new generation of viticulture enthusiasts. Despite the unconventional setting, Rooftop Reds thrives thanks to a custom urban planter system meticulously developed with the assistance of Finger Lakes industry leaders and Cornell University.
